    WHY WE EXIST

    Sister's With A Dream gives girls ages 12–18 a place where they can feel supported, encouraged, heard, and reminded that their dreams matter.

    We do more than tell girls to believe in themselves. We spend time with them, listen to them, teach them, encourage them, and give them opportunities to grow.

    During our monthly meetings, we talk about things girls are dealing with in real life. We have conversations about confidence, self-esteem, friendships, making good decisions, handling emotions, school, leadership, goals, their future, and becoming the young women they want to be.

    The girls take part in activities, group discussions, worksheets, challenges, and experiences that help them discover their strengths, use their voice, make positive choices, set goals, and think about what they want their future to look like.

    We also introduce them to new opportunities. Girls can meet positive role models and guest speakers, explore careers, learn about college and trade schools, build life skills, take part in community service, attend special events, and experience things they may not normally have the opportunity to experience.

    Sometimes a girl needs more than someone telling her, “You can do it.” She needs someone willing to listen to her, encourage her, guide her, show her new possibilities, and continue showing up.

    We want every girl in our program to understand that where she starts does not have to determine where she finishes. We want her to grow in confidence, make positive decisions, discover her purpose, prepare for her future, and believe that her goals and dreams are possible.

    OUR MISSION

    Our mission is to empower middle and high school girls through mentorship, leadership development, education, mental wellness support, and community engagement. We strive to build confidence, provide positive role models, and equip young women with the tools they need to succeed academically, emotionally, and personally. So they can confidently pursue their goals.

    HOW WE EMPOWER EVERY GIRL

    OUR 12-MONTH PROGRAM

    Sister's With A Dream is a year-round program designed to give girls continued support, guidance, learning opportunities, and new experiences. Each month focuses on a different topic that helps our girls build confidence, develop important life skills, prepare for their future, strengthen relationships, and grow into the young women they want to become.

    1. 1st Month — Welcome & Confidence

      helping girls feel comfortable, welcomed, and confident as they begin their journey

    2. 2nd — Self-Esteem

      understand their worth, recognize strengths, build confidence

    3. 3rd — Healthy Friendships

      recognize unhealthy relationships, set boundaries, communicate

    4. 4th — Career Exploration

      begin thinking about interests, strengths, talents, future possibilities

    5. 5th — College & Trade Schools

      colleges, universities, trade schools, career-training opportunities

    6. 6th — Mental Wellness

      emotional wellness, handling stress and difficult emotions, asking for help

    7. 7th — Financial Literacy

      saving, budgeting, responsible spending, planning ahead

    8. 8th — Leadership

      communication, responsibility, teamwork, decision-making, confidence to lead

    9. 9th — Community Service

      serve others while learning compassion, gratitude, giving back

    10. 10th — Vision Goal Setting

      turn dreams into goals, identify steps

    11. 11th — Communication with Adults

      communicate respectfully and confidently with parents, teachers, employers, mentors

    SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT FOR OUR JUNIORS & SENIORS

    For our high school juniors and seniors, Sister's With A Dream provides additional support as they begin preparing for college, trade school, career training, and life after high school.

    We help girls learn how to find scholarship opportunities that may fit their educational goals, interests, achievements, community involvement, and future plans.

    Finding a scholarship is only the beginning. We also help our girls understand the application process so they do not have to feel overwhelmed trying to figure everything out on their own.

    Our scholarship support includes helping juniors and seniors find scholarship opportunities they may qualify for, understand eligibility requirements, keep track of deadlines, organize required documents, understand application instructions, and stay on top of each step of the process.

    We also help them prepare personal statements and scholarship essays while making sure their own story, goals, experiences, and voice remain at the center of what they submit.

    Before an application is submitted, we can help girls review it for missing information and make sure they have followed the scholarship instructions.

    Just as important, we encourage them to keep applying. Not every scholarship application will result in an award, and we want our girls to understand that one “no” does not mean they stop trying.

    We want our juniors and seniors to feel prepared, organized, confident, and supported as they search for opportunities that can help make education after high school more affordable.
